MY Bharat empowering youth– “Workshop on Flagship Schemes” held

Raipur (Team GD News) : Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Raipur, successfully organized a “Workshop on Flagship Schemes” today at Durga College, Raipur. The objective of the workshop was to create awareness among youth about major centrally sponsored flagship schemes, their eligibility criteria, benefits, application procedures, and grievance redressal mechanisms, while encouraging them to act as catalysts for change in their communities.
The Chief Guest, Purandar Mishra, MLA, Raipur, addressed the gathering and highlighted various welfare schemes of the Government of India. He stated, “Youth are the heartbeat of the nation. If they are well-informed about government schemes, they can play a vital role in sensitizing their communities and ensuring benefits reach the right people.”
Arpit Tiwari, Deputy Director, MY Bharat, Raipur, apprised participants about the MY Bharat portal, its features, and its significance in connecting youth with government programs and opportunities. He said, “The portal serves as a robust platform for youth to directly engage with development initiatives and avail government benefits in an informed manner.”
Dr. Pratibha Mukherjee Sahukaar, Principal of Durga College, remarked, “Such programs not only disseminate knowledge but also nurture leadership qualities and a sense of social responsibility among students.” Sunita Chansoriya, Assistant Professor, urged students to extend the knowledge gained to their communities and help more people access these schemes.
The resource persons from Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) delivered a detailed presentation on the scheme’s eligibility, benefits, application process, and grievance redressal system. They demonstrated live applications through the official portals and addressed participants’ queries.
Experts from the Women and Child Development Department discussed Mission Vatsalya, the POCSO Act, and other central government schemes related to women and child welfare. They also explained the purpose and usage of Helpline 1098.
Interactive methods such as presentations, Q&A sessions, testimonials, and group activities were employed throughout the session. Volunteers Sandeep, Neelima, and Fiza played an active role in facilitating the event. More than 120 students participated in the workshop, registering via the MY Bharat portal through the event listing.
