Large crowds gathered to witness the grand fireworks display

Raipur (GD News) : Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai attended the Ravanbhatha and Shankarnagar Dussehra celebrations in Raipur city. Shri Sai said that Vijayadashami is a symbol of the victory of righteousness over unrighteousness. Truth can be troubled but cannot be defeated. Truth ultimately triumphs.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Vijayadashami is a very special occasion for Chhattisgarh. Lord Shri Ram has a deep connection with Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh is the maternal home of Mother Kaushalya and the maternal home of Lord Ram. Therefore, we call Lord Ram as Bhanchha Ram. This is why there is a tradition in Chhattisgarh of touching the feet of one’s nephew and paying obeisance. During their exile, Shri Ram, Mother Sita, and Lakshmana spent considerable time here. Evidence of this can be found at various places in Chhattisgarh. Lord Shri Ram faced many difficulties during his exile. At the time of the battle with Ravana, Shri Ram was a forest dweller, while Ravana possessed a large army of demons along with weapons. Lord Shri Ram, along with his monkey army, defeated Ravana, proving that the destruction of unrighteousness and arrogance is inevitable. The Chief Minister urged the people to eradicate the evils of lust, anger, arrogance, greed, attachment, and illusion within themselves, and extended his best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Vijayadashami.
Addressing the program, Member of Parliament Shri Brijmohan Agrawal said that the tradition of celebrating Dussehra here dates back almost 150 years. This place receives the special blessings of Lord Balaji Maharaj. Today’s Vijayadashami festival symbolizes the victory of truth over falsehood, of righteousness over unrighteousness. MLA Sunil Soni and Mayor Meenal Choubey also addressed the program.

On this occasion, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Civil Supplies Corporation, Sanjay Srivastava, CSIDC Chairman Rajiv Agarwal, former MLA Chand Sundarani, a large number of local public representatives, officials associated with Dudhdhari Math, members of Khamhardih Public Dussehra and Cultural Committee and citizens were present.
