Pooja wins 1500m gold at World Continental Bronze Meet

Bilaspur (Team GD News): South East Central Railway (SECR) athlete and Ticket Collector-cum-Commercial Clerk posted in Bilaspur Division, Pooja, has added another glittering achievement to her career. In the World Continental Bronze Athletic Meet held in Bhubaneswar, she clinched the gold medal in the women’s 1500 metres, delivering a stellar performance on the track.
Displaying exceptional pace and stamina in a fiercely contested race, Pooja surged ahead to take the top podium spot, bringing laurels to both the country and South East Central Railway.
SECR General Manager Tarun Prakash congratulated Pooja on her international triumph and wished her continued success in making India and the Railways proud. He reaffirmed the Railway’s commitment to providing top-class training facilities and all necessary support to its athletes.
Pooja is no stranger to the winner’s podium, having previously claimed gold, silver, and bronze medals at the Asian Athletics Championship and the Taiwan Open Athletics Meet. She continues to assert her dominance on the international athletics stage.
