Sai meets Gadkari, discussed road projects

Raipur (Team GD News). Chief Minister Sai paid a courtesy call on Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Gadkari at his residence. On this occasion, the two leaders discussed in detail about the construction of national highways in Chhattisgarh, progress of road projects and future infrastructure plans.

Chief Minister Sai gave Gadkari an updated information about the major road projects going on in the state and told that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to complete the construction works in a timely manner. He said that efforts are being made rapidly to connect the remote and tribal areas of the state with the main roads, so that the people there can get better connectivity and economic opportunities.

It was discussed in the meeting that strengthening the road network in industrial areas and newly formed districts is very important for the overall development of the state. The Chief Minister laid special emphasis on the fact that roads are not only a means of transportation, but they are also the foundation of employment, investment and social change.

Union Minister Gadkari praised the priorities and vision of the Chhattisgarh government and assured that the central government will continue to provide all possible support to the state. He said that the reach of roads to tribal areas will not only increase the pace of development, but will also bring permanent and positive change in these areas.

Chief Minister Sai also apprised Gadkari of the state’s long-term strategy under “Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision 2047”, which aims to develop an integrated and environment-friendly transport system. He said that the Chhattisgarh government is giving top priority to road connectivity in rural and border areas, so that development can be ensured to reach every citizen.
