After elephants, now tiger terror strikes in forests of Raigarh

Raipur (Team GDNew ) : Panic has spread in the area due to signs of the presence of tiger in the forests of Chhal Range of Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh. Earlier, the villagers of this area were troubled by the terror of elephants, now the arrival of the tiger has deepened the atmosphere of fear.
Villagers have seen footprints of a large wild animal like tiger in Hati, Bojia and surrounding forests of Dharmajaygarh assembly constituency, which was informed to the Forest Department. After initial confirmation, the department has issued an alert in the area and the villagers have been strictly instructed not to go alone towards the forest.
Atmosphere of fear in villages
There is an atmosphere of fear in Bojia, Auranara, Samharsigha, Korea Nala and the surrounding villages.
Shepherds have stopped taking cattle to the forest. Many farmers are avoiding working alone in the fields. An appeal has been made to keep children at home and be cautious.
Cameras being installed for surveillance
Forest department officials said that camera traps are being installed to monitor the tiger’s activities. The safety of the villagers is being given priority. If concrete evidence of the tiger’s presence is found, the matter will be reported to the higher authorities and necessary action will be taken.
Forest Department appeal
The Forest Department has appealed to the villagers to go to the forest in groups.
Do not send children out alone, and immediately inform the forest staff about any suspicious activity.
Earlier, many incidents of elephant activity have been reported in the area, but now the presence of tiger has not only highlighted the diversity of wildlife but has also raised concerns about the safety of human life.
