Raipur (Team GDnews): Aspirational Districts represent India’s mission to bring governance, growth, and dignity to every last mile. Narayanpur is not just a district on the map — it’s a priority in our national development journey, stated Union Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development, Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Shekhar, during his visit to Narayanpur under the Aspirational Districts Programme (ADP) — a flagship initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi aimed at uplifting India’s most underdeveloped regions through convergence, collaboration, and competition.
The Minister’s visit emphasized the Government of India’s commitment to fast-tracking development in Narayanpur, with a focus on measurable improvements in health, education, infrastructure, financial inclusion, and livelihoods — the core pillars of the ADP. He urged officials to prioritize saturation of welfare schemes and deliver compassionate, transparent, and outcome-driven governance at the grassroots.
Dr. Pemmasani began his visit with a tree plantation drive at Khadka village under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign, where he was greeted by the tribal community with traditional music and dance — a tribute to the region’s vibrant cultural legacy.
In a comprehensive review meeting, he assessed the district’s performance under the ADP framework and called for convergence of efforts across departments to bring about tangible change. He stressed the importance of data-driven governance, community engagement, and timely project execution.
Speaking on internal security and development, the Minister said: Under the ‘Naxal-Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’, Narayanpur is progressing toward becoming Naxal-free by March 31, 2026. The real solution lies not just in force but in development-led peacebuilding and trust-building with communities.
During his field inspection, Dr. Pemmasani visited the newly constructed PMGSY road in Khadka, highlighting the role of rural road connectivity in fostering development, reducing isolation, and improving access to essential services in left-wing extremism-affected regions.
He also interacted with beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana–Gramin (PMAY-G) and visited the residence of Parvati Potai, where he emphasized that such homes represent dignity, stability, and empowerment, supported through convergence with MGNREGA and other rural development schemes.
As part of his education-focused outreach, the Minister visited the Pariyana initiative at the Garanji Education Hub, which offers free JEE/NEET coaching to tribal students from the Abujhmad forest region. He praised the district administration for enabling education as a transformative tool in remote and tribal communities.
Dr. Pemmasani also toured a residential hostel for children with special needs, where he commended the district’s efforts to create inclusive and accessible infrastructure under the Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan, reinforcing the Centre’s commitment to inclusive growth with dignity.
The Minister’s visit reaffirmed the Government of India’s strategic focus on Aspirational Districts like Narayanpur, blending infrastructure, human development, and institutional reforms with an approach rooted in empathy, accountability, and inclusive governance
