{"id":5290,"date":"2024-06-16T10:55:21","date_gmt":"2024-06-16T10:55:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsbuddy.co.in\/?p=5290"},"modified":"2024-06-16T10:55:23","modified_gmt":"2024-06-16T10:55:23","slug":"tourists-bus-falls-into-alaknanda-river-14-people-killed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/the-gdnews.com\/?p=5290","title":{"rendered":"Tourists bus falls into Alaknanda river , 14 people killed"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>New Delhi (Team Newsbuddy): <\/em><\/strong>A tragic accident happened with the tourists who came to visit Uttarakhand from Gurugram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Traveler vehicle full of tourists went out of control from the Badrinath National Highway near Rudraprayag and fell into the banks of the Alaknanda river flowing about 300 meters below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">14 people have died and 12 people are injured in this accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rudraprayag District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar said, &#8220;A tempo traveler vehicle carrying 26 people from Gurugram to Tungnath-Chopta crashed near Rudraprayag headquarters at 11.30 am on Saturday.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said, &#8220;Till late evening, a total of 14 people have been confirmed dead in the incident, out of which 3 people have not been identified yet.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis incident happened near a place called Raitoli, located about 7 km from Rudraprayag district headquarters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOn Friday night around 10 o\u2019clock, tourists from Delhi left for Chopta in Uttarakhand in a car.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nandan Singh Rajwar said, \u201cAs soon as the news of the incident was received, SDRF, DDRF, Police, Water Police, Home Guard along with local people reached the spot for rescue.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWith everyone\u2019s help, the injured were taken from the deep ditch to the road.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe vehicle fell into a ditch about 300 meters deep from the road, due to which 10 people died on the spot, while 14 people were rescued and admitted to the District Hospital Rudraprayag.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOn reaching the hospital, doctors declared one person dead. Another person died during treatment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said that seven people seriously injured in this accident were airlifted.
