{"id":4784,"date":"2024-05-23T07:56:35","date_gmt":"2024-05-23T07:56:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsbuddy.co.in\/?p=4784"},"modified":"2024-05-23T07:56:36","modified_gmt":"2024-05-23T07:56:36","slug":"muslim-world-league-welcomes-decision-of-norway-spain-ireland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/the-gdnews.com\/?p=4784","title":{"rendered":"Muslim World League welcomes decision of Norway, Spain , Ireland"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>New York: <\/em><\/strong>The Muslim World League, an organization of Muslim scholars, has welcomed the decision of Spain, Norway and Ireland to recognize Palestine as a nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a statement, the organization&#8217;s secretary general Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa said, &#8220;This decision reflects a change in global awareness about the Palestinian people&#8217;s identity and the fundamental rights of a separate nation.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He called it a responsible step and appealed to other countries to also take similar steps for the human rights and legal rights of the Palestinian people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shortly before this, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation also issued a statement welcoming this decision. Norway&#8217;s Prime Minister Jonas Gar Store has said that his country will recognize Palestine as a nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said that on 28 May, Norway will recognize Palestine as an independent country. It is believed that after Norway, now Ireland and Spain can also recognize Palestine as a country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In protest against this decision, Israel has recalled its ambassadors from Ireland and Norway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Norway&#8217;s Prime Minister Stor has said that the ongoing war in Gaza has made it &#8216;absolutely clear&#8217; that solving the Palestine problem is necessary to achieve peace and stability.
