{"id":3454,"date":"2024-04-11T03:33:12","date_gmt":"2024-04-11T03:33:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsbuddy.co.in\/?p=3454"},"modified":"2024-04-11T03:33:13","modified_gmt":"2024-04-11T03:33:13","slug":"supreme-court-rejects-patanjalis-second-apology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/the-gdnews.com\/?p=3454","title":{"rendered":"Supreme Court rejects Patanjali&#8217;s second apology"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>New Delhi (Team Newsbuddy):<\/em><\/strong> The Supreme Court has also rejected the second apology sought by Ramdev and Patanjali Ayurveda Managing Director Balkrishna in the case of misleading advertisements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This hearing was being held on the petition of the Indian Medical Association against the misleading advertisements of Patanjali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Supreme Court has postponed the hearing of this case till April 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Justice Hima Kohli said, &#8220;We are not satisfied with the apology.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the last hearing, the Supreme Court rejected the apology of Ramdev and Balkrishna and asked them to file an affidavit and respond to the contempt of court case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The court had said that why contempt proceedings should not be initiated against Ramdev?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Hearing was held in both the cases<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Supreme Court said on the second affidavit given by Ramdev and Balkrishna, &#8220;We do not have to be generous.&#8221; The Supreme Court also reprimanded the Uttarakhand government for not taking action on Patanjali&#8217;s misleading advertisements. The court said, &#8220;Instead of taking action under the law, the state&#8217;s license authority kept informing the Center that it had warned Divya Pharmacy.&#8221; In the last hearing, the Supreme Court had expressed displeasure over Ramdev and Balkrishna.
